About The Love We Build

Who we are, what we believe about lasting relationships, and the editorial principles behind everything we publish.

The Love We Build is an editorial home for couples who want to build lasting love — including the parts many sites tiptoe around, like desire and sexual intimacy, and the parts nobody brags about, like logistics and tiredness.

Love, marriage and desire—for the long run. That line is our whole pitch. We're for the long run: not the wedding, not the honeymoon, but the decades after.

What we believe

  • Love is built. Not found once and kept by luck, but constructed out of attention, honesty, repair and play — by ordinary people, on ordinary days.
  • Desire belongs in the conversation. Sexual intimacy is a normal part of a close relationship, worth talking about openly and warmly. It is never a duty, a scoreboard or a performance.
  • Consent is the ground floor. In everything we publish and every game we make: both people want to, freely, every time — and anything can be skipped or stopped.
  • No miracle cures. We won't promise to fix your relationship, and we don't sell fear. We offer perspective and practical ideas; you two know your life best.

Editorial principles

We write in plain language, mark clearly what needs professional review, and never invent experts, testimonials or statistics. Health-adjacent topics link to qualified sources, and articles show their author, publication date and updates honestly. Some pieces are written under a pen name; pen names never claim credentials.

Who's behind this

The Love We Build also makes Spark for Two, a games label for couples, whose first game is The Spark. You can reach us via the contact page.
