The Love We Build

Privacy policy

What data The Love We Build collects (very little), how it's used, and your rights. Written to be read, not skimmed past.

By The Love We Build editorial team

Our privacy stance is simple: we collect as little as possible, we never profile you based on what you read here — including content about sex and intimacy — and we never use advertising trackers.

This policy is a working draft. Sections marked as placeholders await required business details and legal review before launch.

Who is responsible

The data controller for thelovewebuild.com is

[PLACEHOLDER: legal entity name], org. no. [PLACEHOLDER: organization number], [PLACEHOLDER: registered address]. Contact: [PLACEHOLDER: privacy contact email].

What we collect today

  • Reading this site: we do not set tracking cookies and do not run advertising pixels. Technical logs necessary to serve the site (such as standard web server logs) are handled by our hosting provider: [PLACEHOLDER:

    ]
    .
  • Newsletter: the newsletter is not open yet. When it opens, signing up will require your explicit, separate consent — one for the general newsletter and an additional, optional one for content about sex and sexual intimacy. Neither is ever pre-ticked, and declining never limits anything else. Provider details will be listed here before the first email is sent.
  • Games: game sessions in Spark for Two games run locally on your device. Card choices, skipped cards and session history are never sent to our servers. This principle will not change when accounts are introduced.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access, correction, deletion and export of your personal data, and withdraw any consent at any time. Since we currently store no personal data about readers, most requests will be very short conversations — but the rights are yours either way. You can also complain to your local data protection authority (in Norway: Datatilsynet).

Changes

We'll update this policy before launching any feature that processes personal data (newsletter, accounts), and mark the date of every change.
