Romance this week
A Date Without Leaving Home
Make the living room feel different from every other evening.

Make the living room feel different from every other evening.
Something romantic to do together
Choose a theme: a country you want to visit, the year you met, or a favorite film. Prepare one easy dish, dim the lights, and play music that fits. Dress as though you were going out. The point is not perfection; it is interrupting routine together.
One concrete act of attention
Tell your partner in advance: 'Tonight I have planned something for us. You only need to show up.' During the date, ask what they would like more of in the coming month - rest, adventure, affection, sex, or help - and listen without defending yourself.
In bed: read this together
After the date, take turns giving a five-minute massage to shoulders, back, thighs, or feet. Keep the first round explicitly nonsexual so nobody has to wonder what is expected. If both want more, move into a spooning position where the partner behind can kiss the neck and use their hands while the other controls closeness and pace. This is comfortable, intimate, and easy to stop or adjust.
A gentle rule for the week
Enthusiasm matters more than completing the suggestion. Adjust for health, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, disability, pain, energy, privacy, contraception, and personal boundaries.
