Use music to create a private emotional world.

Use music to create a private emotional world.
Something romantic to do together
Make a short playlist of five to ten songs: one from early in your relationship, one that feels sensual, one that makes you laugh, and one that reflects where you are now. Listen without talking through every song.
One concrete act of attention
Send the playlist with a note explaining one choice. Ask your partner to add a song. This gives both of you a way to express mood without needing a perfect speech.
In bed: read this together
Let one slow song structure the beginning of intimacy. Stand close, sway, kiss, and touch the back or hips. In bed, keep movements in time with the music if that feels natural, but do not turn it into a performance. A close missionary or side-by-side position works well because you can keep kissing and listening.
A gentle rule for the week
Enthusiasm matters more than completing the suggestion. Adjust for health, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, disability, pain, energy, privacy, contraception, and personal boundaries.
