Something romantic to do together
Make drinks and return to bed or the sofa for twenty minutes. Read, talk, or listen to music together. Keep practical planning for later. The point is to experience the relationship before becoming productive.
One concrete act of attention
Offer affectionate touch with no hidden contract: stroke hair, rub feet, or hold your partner from behind. Say clearly, 'This does not have to lead anywhere.' Removing pressure can make genuine desire more likely, but that is not the price of the gesture.
In bed: read this together
If desire develops, keep the slow pace. Try extended kissing and mutual hand stimulation while lying on your sides. If intercourse follows, stay in a side-by-side position or move to a relaxed face-to-face position with pillows supporting knees and lower back. Morning sex can be brief or leisurely; neither is more loving.
A gentle rule for the week
Enthusiasm matters more than completing the suggestion. Adjust for health, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, disability, pain, energy, privacy, contraception, and personal boundaries.
