Romance this week
The Twelve-Minute Massage
Make care specific enough that it actually happens.

Make care specific enough that it actually happens.
Something romantic to do together
Set a timer for six minutes each. One partner receives a shoulder, hand, foot, or back massage while the other focuses only on feedback. Switch when the timer sounds. A defined time keeps the gesture from feeling like a large commitment.
One concrete act of attention
Before starting, ask: 'Do you want calming touch, firm pressure, or something more sensual?' This question prevents mismatched expectations and makes consent part of the romance.
In bed: read this together
After both massages, decide whether to stop or continue. If continuing, use slow strokes on thighs, hips, chest, or genitals according to mutual agreement. For intercourse, a rear-entry position while both lie on their sides allows closeness and requires little upper-body effort. The receiving partner can control depth by adjusting leg and hip position.
A gentle rule for the week
Enthusiasm matters more than completing the suggestion. Adjust for health, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, disability, pain, energy, privacy, contraception, and personal boundaries.
